This Privacy Policy applies to digitalgamesharing.it and to the customer portal my.digitalgamesharing.it, both operated by the same company. The data collected on the two platforms is processed consistently and may be shared between them in order to provide the service (e.g. orders placed on the website are visible in the customer portal).

Personal data collected

We collect the following data:

  • Registration and contact data: first name, last name, email address, phone number (required at checkout), billing address.
  • Account data: username and password for accessing the website.
  • Order history: products purchased, platform chosen, purchase date, amount.
  • Chat messages: the messages you write to Willy, the chat assistant on the website and in the Client Area, and any files you attach.
  • Browsing data: IP address, pages visited, browser type.

Purposes of processing

The data is processed in order to:

  • Perform the purchase contract (account delivery, customer support).
  • Answer your questions in the chat through Willy.
  • Comply with tax and accounting obligations.
  • Prevent fraud and abuse.
  • Send communications about your orders.
  • Send newsletters and promotional offers, only with your explicit consent.

Legal basis

Processing is based on: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), legitimate interest in security and fraud prevention (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), consent for marketing (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Data retention

  • Order data: 10 years (tax obligations).
  • Customer account data: until the account is deleted.
  • Browsing data: 12 months.

Who we share data with

Personal data may be shared with:

  • Stripe and Revolut — payment processing.
  • DeepSeek, OpenAI and Google (Gemini) — providers of the artificial intelligence that Willy, the chat assistant, is built on.
  • Amazon — newsletter sending and email service.
  • Meta (Facebook) and Google — analytics and marketing tools.
  • Cloudflare — website protection.

Data is not sold to third parties.

Willy chat and artificial intelligence

Willy is an assistant based on artificial intelligence (providers: DeepSeek, OpenAI and Google). When you write in the chat, your messages and the order details needed to answer you are processed by artificial intelligence to give you a reply. Conversations are stored for support purposes and may be read by our operators; if you type «I want an operator», a person will reply to you. Do not write payment details or personal passwords in the chat.

Transfers outside the EU

Some services (Stripe, Amazon, Meta, Google, Cloudflare, OpenAI) are based in the United States. Transfers take place in compliance with the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. DeepSeek, used for Willy’s replies, is based in China: do not write personal data in the chat that is not needed for your request.

Data subject rights

You have the right to access your data, rectify it, erase it, restrict its processing, object to its processing and request its portability. To exercise these rights, write to [email protected]. We will reply within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: the ICO in the United Kingdom (ico.org.uk) or the data protection authority of your EU country (in Italy: the Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali, garanteprivacy.it).

Cookies

We use technical cookies necessary for the website to work (authentication, cart, language preferences) and third-party cookies for analytics and marketing (Google Analytics, Facebook). You can manage your preferences through the cookie banner shown on your first visit.

Social Login

You can register and log in via Google, Facebook, Microsoft or Amazon. We only receive your first name, last name, email address and profile picture. We never have access to your passwords.

Changes

Any substantial changes to this policy will be communicated by email with at least 30 days’ notice.
