Grand Theft Auto 6 is the title of the new Rockstar Games game, sequel to GTA V, the best-selling video game of all time with over 150 million copies distributed from 2013 to today. Grand Theft Auto 6 was announced in February 2022 while the first trailer was published on December 5, 2023, more than ten years after the launch of GTA 5.
With Grand Theft Auto VI, Rockstar Games aims to redefine the Open World game genre by offering a vast action game rich in possibilities. We return to Miami, with a pair of protagonists in Bonnie and Clyde style, ready for anything to get out of a difficult situation, seeking redemption on the streets of Vice City. The game is set in the state of Leonida (an imaginary version of Florida) and seems to draw heavily from popular culture with alligators raiding convenience stores, bounty hunters and Latin music in the streets.
Beaches, sea, sun, robberies and street life on the edge of the law, these are the ingredients behind Grand Theft Auto VI. GTA 6 is expected in 2025 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, at the moment Rockstar Games has not made any mention of a possible PC version. The game will not be released on PS4 and Xbox One.
